The LEAP foundation was founded by Belstra in an effort to create and allow for consumer transparency, answers, a resource for direct farmer communication, and community impact through donation and support to current and future agriculture students.

The LEAP foundation mission is to be the Midwest’s leading educator about pigs. Although a seemingly simple purpose of educating students and consumers about pigs, the potential impact is both exciting and endless.
By providing resources, pigs, scholarships and most importantly a facility at which consumers and students can visit, LEAP foundation can directly impact curious consumers and aspiring youth. The programs and facilities provided by LEAP foundation will be available to the public while additional private donations will also be made available to community groups that apply for additional funding such as 4H pig and swine groups, college students seeking scholarship as well as individuals, elementary education teachers, local non profits, and those that utilize pigs to learn and grow the understanding of pig farming, pigs and agricultural and the role of the modern pig farmers.
