Belstra Milling has always supported our community…it’s where we live, play and worship. We have had the privilege of giving back in many ways over the years through scholarships, internships, and investing in our schools, churches and communities. It is our desire to see young people grow to be active participants in the wonderful world of agriculture and all aspects of life. Bud Belstra, our founder, believed very strongly in giving back as he felt his family and business had been blessed by God.

We also feel it’s important to provide a safe environment for our employees to work while providing a good living, ownership through our ESOP and opportunities for advancement. Our employees are seen not only by those with whom we do business, but also as good citizens and stewards actively involved in many organizations serving our community.

At the end of the day, we’re part of the food chain…and proud of it! As the global population continues to grow, agriculture will provide the means to feed our community, country and the world. We take great satisfaction and humbleness in this opportunity to serve. God is good!

Belstra Milling Company partnered with Fair Oaks Farms in 2012 to establish the World's first ever tourable pig production farm; The Pig Adventure at Fair Oaks Farms. The Pig Adventure sits on top of Legacy Farms, so the visitors that come can see a fully functioning pig production farm. The visitors can visit three different barns; the Gilt Developer Unit (GDU), Breeding and Gestation Barn, and the Farrowing House. In each of the barns, visitors can learn more about each stage of the pigs' life and they can watch and see how we care for our pigs.

In September 2016, The Pig Adventure at Fair Oaks Farms was certified by the American Humane for the humane treatment of their animals. "The pigs seen around us are receiving the utmost care" Dr. Robin Ganzert, President and CEO of American Humane.

We encourage you to come and see our farm and learn more about 21st Century Pig Production!
